Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer Pahal Solar has commenced construction of a new manufacturing complex in Surat, comprising a 2 GW solar cell plant and a 2 GW aluminium frame production facility. The Bhoomi Poojan ceremony marked the official start of the project, which is expected to be fully operational by late 2026.
According to the company, the new facilities represent a major step toward full vertical integration and advanced automation within its production ecosystem. Equipped with AI-driven precision and analytics systems, the plants aim to improve manufacturing efficiency, consistency, and product quality.
Pahal Solar currently operates with 2.4 GW of solar module capacity and 2 GW of ribbon and busbar production. With ongoing infrastructure enhancements, the company plans to expand its total installed capacity to 4.4 GW during the current financial year.
Paresh Shingala, Chairman and Founder of Pahal Solar, said,
“This investment reinforces our manufacturing strength and reflects our confidence in India’s renewable energy future, as we work toward positioning the nation as a global hub for solar innovation.”
Manish Shingala, Director of Pahal Solar, added that the integration of AI-based precision systems would ensure top-tier quality and performance aligned with international benchmarks.
Nitin Barvaliya, Vice President of Pahal Solar, emphasized the company’s robust order book and reliable partnerships, noting,
“Our expansion reaffirms our commitment to delivering high-performance solar solutions with speed, accuracy, and trust.”
Once completed, the twin facilities will significantly boost India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem, contributing to the nation’s clean energy goals.
