Purvah Green Power Awards Consultancy LoI to Klasscorp for 250 MW Wind Project in Karnataka
Dec 25, 2025
Purvah Green Power, a renewable energy subsidiary of CESC, has issued a binding Letter of Intent (LoI) to Klasscorp Solutions for providing consultancy services related to the development of a 250 MW wind power project in Karnataka.
As per the LoI, Klasscorp Solutions will undertake land acquisition consultancy for the proposed wind farm at Bijapur CTU, Karnataka, along with other project-related advisory services. The development was disclosed by the company in a regulatory filing.
The company further stated that the LoI will remain valid for a period of one year from the date of execution or until the signing of definitive agreements, whichever occurs earlier.
In a separate development last month, Purvah Green Power received a Government Order from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for a 349.8 MW wind power project, enabling an investment of Rs3,286 crore in advanced renewable energy infrastructure.
In October 2025, the company also secured 300 MW at a tariff of Rs2.86/kWh in a Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) auction for setting up 2,000 MW ISTS-connected solar PV projects along with 1,000 MW / 4,000 MWh energy storage systems (ESS).
Additionally, Purvah Green Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Rajasthan for the development of 2,100 MW of solar and wind projects in the state.
According to CESC’s Investor Update for Q2 FY26, Purvah Green Power is currently executing 3.2 GW of hybrid solar and wind projects, which are scheduled for completion by FY29. The second phase of this expansion is expected to increase the total capacity to 10 GW, positioning CESC as a significant player in India’s clean energy transition.
