Purvah Green Power Secures SECI LoA for 250 MW ISTS Wind Project

Feb 16, 2026

Project Awarded at Rs 3.69/kWh Under SECI’s Tranche XIX Auction. Purvah Green Power, the renewable energy arm of CESC Limited, has been awarded a 250 MW ISTS-connected wind power project by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project was secured at a tariff of Rs 3.69 per kWh through a tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted under SECI’s 1,200 MW Wind Tranche XIX auction.

The company stated that the award highlights its strong resource assessment capabilities, disciplined bidding strategy, and execution strength in India’s competitive renewable energy market. The project is expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

Expanding Renewable Portfolio

Purvah Green has been actively expanding its renewable footprint. In November 2025, it received a government order from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for a 349.8 MW wind project, involving an investment of Rs 3,286 crore.

Earlier, in October 2025, the company secured 300 MW capacity at Rs 2.86/kWh in a SECI auction for 2,000 MW ISTS-connected solar PV projects integrated with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh Energy Storage Systems (ESS).

Additionally, the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Rajasthan to develop 2,100 MW of combined solar and wind projects.

Long-Term Growth Strategy

According to CESC’s investor update, Purvah Green Power is currently executing 3.2 GW of hybrid solar and wind projects targeted for completion by FY29. The second phase of expansion aims to scale total capacity to 10 GW, reinforcing CESC’s ambition to become a significant player in India’s accelerating clean energy transition.
