Purvah Green Wins Government Approval for 350 MW Wind Project in Andhra Pradesh
Nov 19, 2025
Purvah Green, a renewable energy arm of CESC under the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, has secured a Government Order from the Andhra Pradesh government to develop a 349.8 MW wind power project, marking an investment commitment of INR 3,286 crore.
The formal approval was handed over during the 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, the company confirmed.
In its statement, Purvah Green said the project represents a major step toward advancing India’s clean energy ambitions. “This achievement further strengthens our dedication to sustainable development and supports India’s National Mission of reaching 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. As part of the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, we are committed to accelerating clean energy adoption, driving innovation and contributing to a greener future,” the company noted.
The announcement follows Purvah Green’s recent win of 300 MW capacity at a tariff of INR 2.86/kWh in Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction for 2,000 MW ISTS-connected solar projects combined with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh energy storage systems.
Additionally, the company recently signed an MoU with the Rajasthan government to develop 2,100 MW of solar and wind projects.
According to CESC’s Q2 FY26 Investor Update, Purvah Green Power is currently executing 3.2 GW of hybrid solar–wind projects scheduled for completion by FY29. A second phase will expand this to 10 GW, positioning the company as a key player in India’s energy transition.
