RenewSys Introduces India’s First Reel-Format Encapsulant for Advanced Solar Module Insulation
Jan 12, 2026
RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the launch of CONSERV® AUGMENSHEET, claiming it to be India’s first reel-based sheet encapsulant developed specifically for busbar and junction box insulation in solar photovoltaic modules.
Supplied in a reel format, the new encapsulant is engineered for seamless integration with fully automated solar module manufacturing lines. This design enables automatic feed-in during production, helping manufacturers achieve higher throughput, consistent processing, and reduced manual intervention in next-generation module fabrication.
According to the company, CONSERV® AUGMENSHEET is built on RenewSys’ established CONSERV® encapsulant technology and is offered in EPE, EVA, and POE variants. Its optimized formulation and precision manufacturing significantly minimise bubble formation during lamination, enhance electrical insulation, ensure uniform material flow, and deliver superior wet-out characteristics, contributing to improved long-term module durability.
The encapsulant is available in widths ranging from 30 mm to 100 mm and can be customised to suit diverse module designs and manufacturing needs. It is compatible with modern PV module production lines, including glass-to-glass and glass-to-backsheet configurations, and supports a wide range of module architectures and advanced solar cell technologies.
Commenting on the launch, Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of RenewSys India, said that the product reflects the company’s deep understanding of evolving manufacturing challenges. He noted that the reel-based encapsulant is designed for automated production environments, enabling higher productivity, improved quality, and consistent performance in high-efficiency solar modules. With this launch, RenewSys becomes the only Indian manufacturer offering encapsulants in reel form, further strengthening its commitment to Make in India and globally competitive manufacturing.
