Statiq, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with BMW Group India to advance the electrification of India’s major highway corridors. The initiative aims to install high-power charging stations (minimum 120 kW) every 300–350 kilometers, supporting long-distance EV travel and reducing range anxiety for drivers.

Together, Statiq and BMW Group India have launched an extensive 4,000-kilometer charging corridor spanning from Jammu to Madurai, with fast chargers positioned at prominent highways and public destinations. These chargers, which are open to all EV brands, are also integrated into the myBMW app for seamless access and navigation by BMW customers.

“Our partnership with BMW Group India marks a transformative milestone for the country’s EV ecosystem,” said Akshit Bansal, Founder and CEO of Statiq. “By establishing high-power chargers at regular intervals, we’re eliminating range anxiety and enabling smooth intercity EV travel. Our mission remains to make EV charging simple, reliable, and accessible for everyone.”

Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, highlighted the company’s leadership in luxury electric mobility.

“BMW Group India is proud to be the first luxury carmaker to deliver 5,000 electric vehicles in the country. Collaborations like this expand our nationwide charging network, with chargers offering capacities from 120 kW to 720 kW. Each location is thoughtfully designed near cafés, restaurants, and public spaces to enhance the customer experience and make electric mobility both convenient and enjoyable.”

Raghav Arora, Co-Founder and CTO of Statiq, added, “This partnership demonstrates how innovation and collaboration can accelerate India’s EV transition. By merging advanced digital tools with powerful charging infrastructure, we’re ensuring that India’s highways are ready for the electric future.”

Currently, Statiq operates more than 8,000 charging points across 70+ cities, including highways, malls, fuel stations, hotels, and commercial hubs. Its app-based platform enables users to discover, book, and pay seamlessly, and is integrated with other major EV networks such as E-Fill, Sunfuel, and GLIDA, enhancing interoperability and accessibility.

As part of its growth roadmap, Statiq aims to expand its network to 20,000 charging points by 2026, strengthening partnerships with state governments, automakers, and real estate developers to accelerate the country’s clean mobility transition.
