Suzlon Bags 100 MW Wind Power Order from GAIL, Strengthening Ongoing Partnership

Mar 25, 2026

Suzlon Group has secured a fresh 100 MW wind energy order from Gas Authority of India (GAIL), marking the sixth consecutive project awarded by the PSU and reaffirming Suzlon’s strong foothold in India’s wind energy sector.

This order also represents Suzlon’s fourth PSU contract in FY26, underlining its growing momentum supported by its integrated, end-to-end solutions. The clean power generated from the project will be utilized to support the decarbonization of GAIL’s upcoming petrochemical facility in Nandurbar, Maharashtra.

Suzlon has already established a significant presence in Maharashtra, with an installed capacity exceeding 2.2 GW and a market share of approximately 38%, contributing to the state’s emergence as a major renewable energy hub in India.

Under the project scope, Suzlon will deploy 47 advanced S120 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 2.1 MW. The company will handle the supply, installation, erection, and commissioning of the turbines, along with providing long-term operations and maintenance services after project completion.
