Tata Motors Broadens XPRES Line-Up with New Petrol and Twin-Cylinder CNG Models for Fleet Buyers
Jan 26, 2026
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has strengthened its XPRES fleet offering with the introduction of petrol and twin-cylinder CNG variants, marking a strategic expansion beyond its electric-only portfolio in India’s commercial passenger vehicle market.
The XPRES Petrol has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 5.59 lakh, while the CNG version is priced at Rs 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Fleet customers can now place bookings through authorised dealerships. The move builds on the performance of the XPRES EV and aligns with Tata Motors’ multi-powertrain approach for fleet operators.
Both new variants are equipped with Tata Motors’ 1.2-litre Revotron engine paired with a manual transmission, engineered for high-usage and durability. The XPRES CNG comes with a segment-first 70-litre (water capacity) twin-cylinder tank, offering the highest fuel capacity in its category while preserving practical boot space.
According to the company, the twin-cylinder layout enables the CNG model to retain adequate luggage capacity—an important consideration for fleet applications. Meanwhile, the petrol version offers a 419-litre boot, claimed to be the largest in the petrol fleet sedan segment, making it suitable for airport transfers and longer intercity trips.
Tata Motors is providing a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, which can be extended up to five years or 1,80,000 km. The company also highlighted a competitive maintenance cost of Rs 0.47 per km, along with customised financing options aimed at lowering total ownership costs.
To support the expanded XPRES portfolio, TMPV has established dedicated fleet-focused dealerships in select markets, offering specialised sales and after-sales services. With EV, petrol, and CNG options now available, the XPRES range is positioned to serve high-volume fleet segments such as cab aggregators, employee transportation, car rental services, airport shuttles, and tourist taxis.
