Vayona Energy Secures 64.8 MW Wind Turbine Order in Andhra Pradesh
Feb 17, 2026
Vayona Energy has won a contract to supply 64.8 MW of wind turbines to Oyster Renewable Energy for a power project in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Under the agreement, Vayona will deliver 18 SG 3.6-145 wind turbines to the independent power producer and provide a long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) contract.
This marks Vayona Energy’s first order in India following its acquisition of Siemens Gamesa’s wind assets. The company has not disclosed the financial terms of the deal.
The Mumbai-registered firm plans to expand its onshore wind solutions across India and Sri Lanka as part of its regional growth strategy.
“We’ve made a strong start with a robust customer order book exceeding 1 GW and an O&M portfolio of around 7 GW, including the portfolio previously held by Siemens Gamesa,” said Prashant Jain, Executive Vice-Chairman of Vayona Energy.
Oyster Renewable Energy highlighted that the project represents a major expansion into Andhra Pradesh. Key turbine components will be manufactured and assembled at Vayona Energy’s Mamandur facility near Chennai.
