ACME Solar Expands Rajasthan BESS Project to 285 MW with Sixth Phase Commissioning

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd. has commissioned the sixth phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan, further strengthening its presence in the energy storage segment. The newly added phase contributes 38 MW / 80.252 MWh of capacity to the overall project.
This phase has been developed at Sanwara and Mehar Nagar villages in Pokhran tehsil of Jaisalmer through ACME’s wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Pvt. Ltd. While the project has already been commissioned, its commercial operations are scheduled to begin on April 15, 2026.
With the integration of this latest phase, the total installed capacity of the BESS project has reached 285 MW / 601.904 MWh. The milestone follows a series of phased additions completed between February and April 2026, highlighting the company’s consistent execution progress.
The expansion is expected to play a key role in enhancing grid reliability and supporting the growing share of renewable energy in the region by enabling efficient energy storage and dispatch.
