950-km, 6,000 MW corridor to connect Bhadla in Rajasthan with Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh; commissioning targeted by 2029

Mumbai: Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has secured long-term financing from a consortium of Japanese banks for its high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission project designed to strengthen renewable power evacuation across northern India.

The project is structured as a ±800 kV HVDC network with an evacuation capacity of 6,000 MW. Spanning approximately 950 kilometres, the corridor will connect Bhadla in Rajasthan to Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the company, the transmission link will facilitate the evacuation of renewable energy from Rajasthan’s solar-rich regions and feed it into the national grid to support growing clean power demand.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by 2029. It is expected to enhance renewable energy integration and contribute to grid stability in energy-intensive urban and industrial centres.

The asset forms part of the Adani Group’s integrated clean energy platform. Rajasthan serves as a key generation hub for Adani Green Energy, whose projects supply power to AESL subsidiary Adani Electricity Mumbai.
