Adani Saur Urja Secures 1,250 MW Pumped Hydro Storage Contract from UPPCL

Adani Saur Urja, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy, has won a contract from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for the procurement of 1,250 MW of energy storage capacity from pumped hydro storage projects. The company secured this capacity through an e-Reverse Auction conducted by UPPCL.

As per the Letter of Award (LOA), the Annual Fixed Cost for the storage capacity is set at Rs76,53,226 per MW per annum (excluding taxes) for a tenure of 40 years from the commercial operation date. This project aligns with Uttar Pradesh's push for reliable renewable energy integration and strengthens Adani Green Energy’s footprint in energy storage solutions.
