Aether Industries Commissions 15 MW Captive Solar Power Project with KPI Green

Dec 30, 2024

Aether Industries, a Gujarat-based specialty chemicals firm, has officially commissioned a 15 MW solar power project under the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment. The project, featuring AutoTracker Modules, was executed by KPI Green Energy and is now operational, supplying power to Aether's manufacturing facilities.
In a regulatory filing, the company stated, “The project, developed by a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy, is fully operational and will contribute significantly to our energy requirements.
” The firm highlighted that the project is expected to generate annual energy cost savings of over ?15 Cr, while significantly reducing its carbon footprint. This initiative underscores Aether's commitment to environmental sustainability and renewable energy adoption.
Earlier this year, KPI Green had commissioned a 5 MW solar power plant as part of this 15 MW project. With the remaining 10 MW capacity now operational, the company expects to save an additional ?60 million annually in electricity expenses.
In July 2023, Aether Industries commissioned a 16 MW solar power project with Fixed Modules under the CPP segment. Located in Gujarat’s Bharuch district, this solar farm spans 60 acres and is set to commence phase-wise operations in the next fiscal year, beginning in April.
By transitioning to renewable energy, Aether Industries not only strengthens its bottom line but also reinforces its dedication to sustainable growth.
With the successful commissioning of these projects, Aether continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio, setting a benchmark for the specialty chemicals sector in environmental responsibility.
