ASOT Solar Partners With Sunergy to Boost Next-Gen Solar Module Manufacturing in India

ASOT Solar has signed an MoU with China-based Sunergy to strengthen advanced solar module manufacturing in India. The collaboration will help integrate new technologies, improve production processes, and increase ASOT Solar’s annual module manufacturing capacity to 800 MW.

The partnership emphasises technology transfer, material innovation, and the development of high-efficiency modules that comply with ALMM standards, supporting India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission. ASOT Solar plans to adopt Sunergy’s TOPCon and HJT technologies to boost performance and reduce production costs.

According to ASOT Solar’s founder, Kaushik Chitaliya, the agreement enhances India’s ability to build globally competitive solar manufacturing capabilities. The companies also intend to pursue joint R&D to accelerate progress in solar materials and production technologies.

ASOT Solar currently runs a 600 MW facility and aims to scale its capacity to 2.2 GW, with solar cell manufacturing expected by 2027. Sunergy, which has 8 GW of global production capacity, brings expertise in high-efficiency modules delivering up to 730 W output and more than 25.8?ficiency.
