Ayana Renewable Power Activates 158.4 MW of 250 MW Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh
Feb 21, 2026
NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has announced the commissioning of 158.4 MW from a 250 MW solar photovoltaic project in Andhra Pradesh through its group company Ayana Renewable Power. The newly operational capacity marks a significant addition to the company’s growing renewable portfolio.
According to a regulatory filing, the 158.4 MW capacity—part of the Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power project—has been declared commercially operational with effect from February 14, 2026, following certification from the Solar Energy Corporation of India dated February 20, 2026. Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power operates as a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power, which is wholly owned by the ONGC NTPC Green joint venture.
With this development, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group has risen to 9,151.08 MW, reinforcing its position in India’s clean energy expansion.
The announcement follows a series of recent capacity additions by the group. Earlier this week, NTPC Renewable Energy commissioned 210 MW under the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat. Additional expansions include 125 MW added at the Bhadla Solar PV Project in Rajasthan, 130.47 MW at the Khavda-I Solar Project in Gujarat, and nearly 404.68 MW collectively across Rajasthan and Gujarat in December 2025.
Looking ahead, NTPC aims to scale its renewable energy capacity to 60 GW by 2032, targeting nearly 45 percent of its total power generation mix from renewable sources as part of its long-term sustainability roadmap.
