Bondada Engineering, a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Adani Group to supply Balance of System (BoS) equipment for a 650 MW solar project at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat.
The contract is valued at approximately Rs10.5 billion (~$119.5 million) and covers a comprehensive scope of services, including design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, and material delivery. Bondada will also handle on-site services, testing, and commissioning of free-issue materials provided by Adani.
In addition, the company will carry out all civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural works required to fully commission the project. The entire scope must be completed within one year.
Expanding Renewable Portfolio
Bondada Engineering operates across multiple sectors, including telecom, renewable energy, railways, and data centers. Since its establishment in 2012, the company has reported a cumulative revenue of Rs45.63 billion (~$519 million) as per its Q1 FY2026 financial report.
The company is also implementing a 2 GW independent power producer (IPP) solar project in Andhra Pradesh, with a total investment of Rs90 billion (~$1.02 billion).
Track Record of Major Wins
Bondada has steadily expanded its footprint in India’s renewable energy landscape through major project wins:
- June 2025: Won a 200 MW/400 MWh share in the Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation’s 500 MW/1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) tender, at a tariff of Rs246,000 (~$2,856.81)/MW/month.
- March 2025: Secured 50 MW/100 MWh capacity in Telangana Power Generation Corporation’s 250 MW/500 MWh BESS auction, with a tariff of Rs240,347 (~$2,804.84)/MW/month.
