Ceigall India Expands Renewable Portfolio with 337 MW Solar PPAs in Maharashtra

Mar 26, 2026

National, March 25, 2026: Ceigall India Limited has entered into two long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Ceigall Green Energy MH1 Limited and Ceigall Green Energy MH2 Limited, with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), marking a significant step in its clean energy expansion.

The agreements involve the development of solar photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 337 MW under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0). The first project, with a capacity of 190 MW, will be executed across four districts in Maharashtra with an estimated EPC cost of around Rs 772 crore. The second project, with a capacity of 147 MW, will be developed across two districts, with an approximate investment of Rs 597 crore. Combined, the projects represent a total EPC value of about Rs 1,369 crore and are expected to be completed within 18 months.

The scope of the projects includes end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction, followed by operations and maintenance. Both projects are backed by long-term PPAs, ensuring a stable power supply commitment for a period of 25 years.

Commenting on the development, Chairman and Managing Director Ramneek Sehgal stated that the agreements mark a key milestone in the company’s transition toward building a scalable renewable energy platform. He highlighted the company’s focus on developing assets that offer long-term, stable returns while supporting India’s broader energy transition goals.

These projects underline Ceigall India’s strategic diversification into the renewable energy sector, complementing its established expertise in infrastructure development. They are also expected to strengthen the company’s project pipeline visibility while establishing a sustained presence in solar power generation.
