CEL Seeks Bids to Operate 40 MW Solar Module Manufacturing Plant

Central Electronics Limited (CEL), a public sector enterprise under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) for operating its 40 MW automated solar module manufacturing plant in Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh. The last date to submit bids is March 3, 2025, and bids will be opened on the same day.

The selected entity will be responsible for manufacturing, operation, maintenance, marketing, and the sale of solar modules. The contract will last two years, with an option to extend for another year. The facility will run in three shifts and has a storage capacity of 12 MW of solar modules.

CEL will provide infrastructure, round-the-clock security, power and water supply at commercial rates, and building maintenance services. Additionally, it will supply consumables, tools, and both skilled and unskilled labor to ensure smooth plant operations.
