CG Power Secures INR 900 Crore Transformer Supply Contract for US Hyperscale Data Center

CG Power and Industrial Solutions has won a major contract worth Rs 900 crore from Tallgrass Integrated Logistics Solutions for the supply of power transformers for a large hyperscale data center project in the United States.

As part of the agreement, CG will deliver specially designed power transformers engineered to meet the high standards of reliability, efficiency, and continuous uptime required for large-scale data center operations. The company stated that the order will be executed over a delivery timeline ranging between 12 and 20 months.

Commenting on the development, Amar Kaul, Global CEO and Managing Director of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, described the contract as a strategic milestone for the company. He noted that the order represents CG’s entry into the fast-expanding global data center segment and highlights its ability to supply mission-critical, globally benchmarked technology solutions from India.

Kaul added that the accelerating adoption of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure is significantly reshaping global power demand patterns. According to him, this contract is expected to unlock a strong pipeline of future opportunities in international data center projects, supporting CG’s long-term global growth strategy and margin-accretive expansion plans.

The power transformers under this order will be designed, manufactured, and tested at CG Power’s advanced manufacturing facilities in India, the company said.
