Cosmic PV Power Receives 60 Acres in Narmadapuram to Build 4 GW Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility
In a significant step toward expanding its manufacturing capabilities, Cosmic PV Power Ltd. has been allotted 60 acres (approximately 2,42,800 sq. meters) of industrial land in the Narmadapuram Manufacturing Zone by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The company intends to develop a 4 GW solar cell manufacturing facility on the newly allocated land, implementing the project in multiple phases. The state-of-the-art plant is expected to enhance production capacity, diversify Cosmic PV Power’s product line, and strengthen its vertically integrated operations in the solar and clean energy manufacturing sector.
Economic and Employment Impact
According to the company, the project will generate new employment opportunities and support the regional industrial ecosystem, contributing to India’s long-term clean energy and sustainable development objectives. “This land allocation marks a milestone in expanding our manufacturing footprint and advancing the nation’s renewable energy objectives,” the company stated.
Narmadapuram Greenfield Manufacturing Zone
The Mohasa-Babai Industrial Area in Narmadapuram, developed as a Greenfield Manufacturing Zone, is emerging as a national hub for green energy production under Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Spanning 1,435 acres, the project is being executed in two phases:
• Phase 1: 514.5 acres with 22 manufacturing units, an investment of ?17,750 crore, and an estimated 21,777 jobs. Major participants include U Energy, Lendmill Green Energy, and Rage Green Energy.
• Phase 2: 551 acres with 9 units, including 7 renewable energy manufacturing facilities, drawing ?39,210 crore in investment and creating around 14,777 jobs. Key investors include Satvik Solar, Cosmic PV Power, Gautam Solar, and Oriana Power.
Incentives and Strategic Importance
Madhya Pradesh offers several incentives to encourage industrial participation, including a 25% land premium discount, 20-year development fee installments, 100% stamp duty reimbursement, and subsidized water supply. The initiative is aimed at reducing India’s reliance on imports, stimulating sustainable industrial growth, and positioning Madhya Pradesh as a major renewable energy manufacturing hub at both the national and global levels.
