Delta Electronics India Secures 110 MW BESS Power Conditioning Systems Order from Prostarm

Jan 08, 2026

Delta Electronics India has entered into a major supply agreement with Prostarm Info Systems to deliver 110 MW of bi-directional power conditioning systems (PCS) for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects being rolled out across India. The order involves the supply of 100 India-manufactured PCS units, each rated at 1.1 MW.

The equipment will be deployed across several large-scale energy storage installations, including projects for Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL) and Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML). These deployments are expected to play a critical role in improving grid flexibility, strengthening power reliability, and supporting the integration of renewable energy into both urban and regional power networks.

Commenting on the partnership, Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India, said the collaboration underscores the value of pairing global technological expertise with strong domestic manufacturing and execution. He noted that the order represents Delta’s largest deployment so far of India-produced PCS solutions, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to India’s fast-expanding energy storage market and its clean energy transition.

As part of the agreement, Prostarm will integrate Delta’s bi-directional PCS across multiple projects, including AEML’s 11 MW / 22 MWh battery storage facility in Mumbai, as well as standalone BESS installations being developed in Bihar under the Battery Energy Storage Solution Power Developer (BESSPD) framework.

Ram Agarwal, Whole-Time Director and CEO of Prostarm Info Systems, stated that the collaboration aligns with Prostarm’s focus on delivering advanced energy infrastructure for utilities while contributing to India’s broader sustainability objectives. He added that the partnership enhances Prostarm’s energy storage offerings and sets a precedent for technology-driven collaboration within the power sector.

Highlighting the technical significance of the deal, Rajesh Kaushal, Vice President – Energy Infrastructure Business Group at Delta Electronics India, described the agreement as a key milestone for Delta’s PCS operations in the country. He emphasized that the systems are locally manufactured, customized for Indian grid conditions, and engineered to meet the reliability and performance demands of large-scale storage projects.

Echoing these views, Prateek Srivastava, Vice President and Business Unit Head at Prostarm Info Systems, said the partnership supports the government’s Make in India initiative and reflects Prostarm’s commitment to delivering high-performance, tailor-made energy solutions for India’s evolving power ecosystem.
