GEON Unveils GELITHIUM All-in-One Inverter System for Homes and Small Enterprises
Dec 18, 2025
GEON has introduced its GELITHIUM Integrated Inverter Solution, a compact power-backup system that combines an inverter and an in-built lithium-ion battery within a single sealed enclosure. The launch targets residential users and small businesses seeking a simpler, more reliable alternative to conventional backup solutions.
Power supply instability continues to affect productivity in many regions, particularly across semi-urban and emerging growth corridors where voltage fluctuations and peak-hour outages remain common. Industry assessments highlight that several Central and Eastern Indian markets experience persistent grid inconsistencies, driving sustained demand for dependable backup power.
Despite the growing need, an estimated 70 percent of India’s installed backup capacity still relies on traditional lead-acid inverter systems. These setups typically involve manual wiring, regular electrolyte maintenance, and frequent servicing, while offering lower efficiency and shorter usable lifespans. As consumers and micro-enterprises increasingly prioritise ease of use and long-term cost efficiency, integrated lithium-based inverter systems are gaining traction.
According to GEON, the GELITHIUM solution streamlines conventional installations by housing both the inverter and lithium battery in a single unit. This integrated design removes the requirement for external cabling and separate battery banks, simplifies installation for dealers, saves indoor space for users, and eliminates routine maintenance. The company positions the solution for use in homes, clinics, small retail stores, offices, and light commercial settings.
The GELITHIUM range is built using lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO?) prismatic cells, supported by an intelligent Battery Management System, fast-charging capability, and multiple safety and protection features. These components, the company stated, help deliver consistent output, enhanced operational safety, and extended service life.
GEON noted that unlike lead-acid systems, GELITHIUM does not require water topping or corrosion management, resulting in fewer post-installation service needs and lower overall ownership costs. The product line includes variants for residential applications as well as higher-capacity models for small commercial use, allowing channel partners to address diverse customer requirements through a unified portfolio.
Commenting on the launch, Anand Kabra, Chairman and Managing Director, GEON, said the power-backup market is shifting its focus from initial cost to long-term value. He added that integrating lithium chemistry, battery management, and inverter hardware into a single platform enables predictable performance without the recurring maintenance associated with legacy systems.
According to the company, GELITHIUM is designed to support the growing use of electronic equipment in homes and workplaces by delivering stable and clean power. This helps protect sensitive devices such as medical equipment, laptops, Wi-Fi routers, CCTV systems, and billing machines. The system features a user-friendly display for real-time monitoring and built-in safety mechanisms for extended operation, with GEON stating that the solution aims to enhance user experience while reducing service demands for customers, distributors, and dealers.
