GR Infraprojects Receives LoA for 750 MWh BESS Project from Telangana Power Generation Corporation

GR Infraprojects Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited for setting up a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Choutuppal, Telangana. The project marks a significant expansion in the company’s energy storage portfolio.
The awarded project involves the development of a 750 MWh BESS facility, with a capacity of 187.5 MW designed for four-hour storage. The contract has been awarded at a tariff of Rs 3.14 lakh per MW per month and will be executed under a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA).
As part of the contract conditions, the company is required to submit all necessary documentation within 15 days of the LoA and proceed with the signing of the BESPA. Additionally, submission of a performance bank guarantee is mandatory as per the agreement terms.
The project is expected to be completed within 18 months from the date of signing the BESPA. With an estimated project cost of approximately Rs 1,057.09 crore, it represents a major investment in strengthening grid stability and supporting renewable energy integration in the region.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity, and the company has confirmed that there is no involvement of its promoter group or related parties in the awarding organisation. Furthermore, the transaction does not fall under related party transactions, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory norms.
