Hoymiles Installs 350 kW String Inverters in 5.5 MW PM KUSUM Solar Project in Rajasthan

Mar 16, 2026

The project in Jhunjhunu features 14 high-capacity string inverters from Hoymiles and has been developed under the PM KUSUM scheme to promote decentralized solar power generation.

Hoymiles Power Electronics, a provider of smart solar and energy storage solutions, has announced the deployment of its HINV350HX-G2 (350 kW) string inverters in a newly commissioned 5.5 MW solar power project located in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan.

The project has been developed under the Pradhan Mantri KUSUM Yojana and was executed by Jaipur-based EPC company Puregrid Renewables. The initiative is intended to support decentralized solar power generation and improve energy security in rural areas by providing reliable and sustainable electricity to farmers and local communities.

A total of 14 units of the 350 kW string inverters from Hoymiles Power Electronics have been installed at the site. These inverters were supplied through the company’s authorised distributor Sun Solista.

According to the company, the HINV350HX-G2 inverter is equipped with six 75-amp maximum power point trackers (MPPTs) and is compatible with both 182 mm and 210 mm photovoltaic modules, offering greater flexibility for system design. The device delivers a maximum efficiency of 99.05 percent and an EU efficiency rating of 98.8 percent, helping improve the plant’s overall energy output.

The systems are engineered to perform reliably under demanding environmental conditions such as those commonly found in Rajasthan. They include IP66 protection, C5 anti-corrosion capability, and a short-circuit ratio (SCR) of at least 1.1 to ensure stable and durable operation.

Commenting on the project, Sanjay Jhajharia, Director at Puregrid Renewables, said that the company selected Hoymiles inverters after conducting extensive research and receiving positive industry feedback. He also noted that the Hoymiles team provided strong technical support during the installation and commissioning phases, and expressed interest in collaborating on future projects.

The solar installation also integrates broadband powerline communication and reactive power control, enabling the system to respond quickly to grid signals—an important feature in regions experiencing high solar penetration and challenging climate conditions.

Performance monitoring and system optimisation are supported through S Miles Cloud, a platform that provides real-time insights into power generation and operational performance, helping maximise energy yield and maintain reliable plant operation.
