Ingka Investments Buys ib vogt’s 210 MWp Solar Project in Rajasthan

Ingka Investments has acquired a 210 MWp ready-to-build solar project from ib vogt in Rajasthan, marking its first utility-scale renewable energy investment in India. The project supports Ingka Group’s goal of sourcing 100% renewable power for its global operations by 2030.

ib vogt completed land acquisition, feasibility studies, design work, and secured all necessary grid and regulatory approvals. The company will also handle construction and manage operations for the first three years. Once commissioned, the plant is expected to generate around 380 GWh of clean electricity annually—enough to meet the energy needs of Ingka Group’s expanding retail, distribution and shopping centre network across India.

Executives from both companies highlighted the project as a major milestone, emphasizing its low-risk design, strong sustainability impact, and India’s growing importance as a renewable energy market. ib vogt currently operates in 32 countries and has a global pipeline exceeding 37.5 GWp of solar and 9.4 GWp of BESS projects.
