INOX Air Products Teams Up with TACC for Greenfield Battery-Grade Graphite Facility

INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has entered into a strategic partnership with The Advanced Carbons Company (TACC) to support a new greenfield manufacturing project in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. Under the agreement, INOXAP will establish and operate a dedicated onsite nitrogen generation plant to supply high-purity nitrogen for the production of lithium-ion battery-grade graphite anode materials.

The nitrogen facility will be developed on a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis, ensuring uninterrupted, safe, and quality-controlled gas supply aligned with TACC’s operational requirements. The project is aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities for critical electric vehicle (EV) battery components.

TACC focuses on producing synthetic graphite anode materials for lithium-ion batteries used in electric mobility and energy storage systems. The company is also engaged in developing graphene-based derivatives for applications across sectors such as construction, textiles, paints, and other industrial segments. Access to a reliable nitrogen supply is expected to enhance manufacturing precision, improve product consistency, and support scalability.

Industry leaders from both companies emphasized that the collaboration aligns with India’s clean energy and electric mobility ambitions. By combining industrial gas infrastructure expertise with advanced carbon material manufacturing, the partnership seeks to reinforce the country’s emerging battery materials ecosystem.

Through this initiative, INOXAP aims to strengthen its footprint in future-ready industrial gas solutions while contributing to the development of a resilient and sustainable supply chain for India’s growing green energy sector.
