Sun Drops Energia to supply and commission integrated solar and battery storage system for containerised data centre facility
KPI Green Energy has announced that its subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia, has secured an international order from FVE Lifecare General Trading LLC, UAE, part of the F Plus Group. The order covers the supply, installation, and commissioning of a 33 kWp solar power system integrated with a 573 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for a containerised data centre facility.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the project reflects its expansion beyond India and its entry into new growth segments. The integrated solar and storage system is intended to provide uninterrupted and efficient power supply for the data centre application.
The company stated that BESS projects can operate as grid-connected or standalone energy storage facilities, enabling energy storage during off-peak periods and discharge during peak demand. It added that such systems support grid stability, peak load management, renewable energy integration, and provide backup power for mission-critical infrastructure, including data centres.
In October 2025, KP Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the F Plus Group to collaborate on green energy-powered life sciences projects globally. Subsequently, the company received a letter of intent from FVE Lifecare General Trading for a 600 MW round-the-clock green power project valued at approximately Rs1,050 crore.
