Orange Romania Expands Renewable Energy Commitment with ENGIE

Orange Romania has signed a new 10-year Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) with ENGIE to secure approximately 40 GWh of renewable energy annually from one of ENGIE’s wind parks. This agreement builds on their 2023 partnership, which covered 30 GWh of Orange’s electricity needs.

The deal aligns with Orange Romania’s sustainability strategy and its goal of achieving Net Carbon Zero by 2040, as part of its parent company’s "Lead the Future" initiative. By expanding its reliance on renewable energy, Orange Romania strengthens its commitment to environmental responsibility while ensuring long-term energy stability.
