PVV Infra Partners with Taiwan’s ITC to Develop Solar, BESS and Smart Electronics Manufacturing
Feb 11, 2026
PVV Infra Ltd. has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiwan-based ITC Services Company Ltd. to collaborate on technology transfer and manufacturing development across solar cells, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), micro-inverters, and smart power electronics.
The agreement covers consultancy support, customisation of technologies, and phased deployment of manufacturing processes. Both companies will work together on product development, pilot production, workforce training, process optimisation, and documentation transfer. The structured rollout of technology and manufacturing capabilities is expected to be completed within 14 to 18 months, marking a significant step in PVV Infra’s entry into advanced renewable energy manufacturing.
According to the company, the partnership will anchor the development of its proposed Integrated Clean Energy Manufacturing Complex. The planned facility is set to include 1.2 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity based on TOPCon technology, 1 GW of solar module assembly lines, BESS assembly units, and a dedicated micro-inverter production plant.
Previously, on November 15, 2025, PVV Infra had signed an MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish renewable energy manufacturing infrastructure with an initial investment estimate of approximately Rs650 crore. Following the expanded scope under the ITC collaboration — covering solar cells, modules, storage solutions, and smart electronics — the total proposed investment has increased to around Rs1,250 crore. The final outlay will depend on phased implementation, financing arrangements, and milestone-based execution.
With planned investments exceeding Rs1,000 crore, the initiative qualifies as a Mega Project under state policy, making it eligible for applicable incentives and subsidies. The expansion is expected to boost domestic manufacturing of high-efficiency solar and storage technologies, lower import dependence, and leverage both central and state support schemes. It is also anticipated to generate substantial employment opportunities and foster a regional ecosystem for renewable energy manufacturing.
In a related development, the company’s board has approved the appointment of Tse Hsiung Norman Lao as an Additional Director (Non-Independent), effective February 9, 2026. Lao brings international expertise in advanced electronics manufacturing, technology commercialisation, and partnerships with global OEMs, which is expected to support the company’s expansion into high-tech clean energy production.
