Roshni Renewable and Jinchen Join Forces to Establish 1.8 GW Solar Module Facility in Punjab
Nov 07, 2025
Roshni Renewable has announced plans to set up a 1.8 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Punjab, in collaboration with Jinchen. The partnership was officially formalised during the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2025 in Greater Noida.
A new venture promoted by professionals from Valco, an Indian aluminium company, and Solidus Techno Power, a Punjab-based solar EPC firm, Roshni Renewable aims to establish a giga-scale, fully automated production line that meets global manufacturing standards. The upcoming plant is expected to create significant employment opportunities and drive sustainable industrial growth in the region.
Commenting on the development, Ajay Gupta of Roshni Renewable said,
“We are delighted to introduce Punjab’s first solar manufacturing line in collaboration with Jinchen. This initiative will not only contribute to India’s clean energy ambitions but also enhance the state’s industrial ecosystem by generating skilled employment and advancing domestic solar manufacturing.”
Aligned with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, the project is designed to reduce reliance on imported solar components and strengthen India’s position as a self-reliant hub for renewable energy manufacturing, the company stated.
