Sangam India Awards EPC Contract to IB Vogt for 27 MW Captive Solar Project in Rajasthan

Jan 06, 2026

Sangam (India) Ltd. has entered into an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreement with IB Vogt Solar India Pvt. Ltd. for the development of a 27 MWp solar power project intended for captive consumption in Rajasthan.

The solar facility, allowing a capacity variation of ±5%, will be set up at Village Sangarh in Fatehgarh tehsil, Jaisalmer district. Once commissioned, the project is expected to meet a significant portion of Sangam India’s power requirements while supporting its long-term sustainability and renewable energy objectives.

Strategic Diversification into Renewables

The EPC agreement underscores Sangam India’s strategic diversification beyond its core textile operations, marking its entry into the rapidly expanding renewable energy segment. The move aligns with India’s broader push to scale up solar capacity and transition toward cleaner energy sources.

Project Execution Expertise

IB Vogt Solar India will leverage its experience in solar project development to deliver the project, providing end-to-end technical expertise to ensure timely and efficient execution. The collaboration brings together Sangam India’s industrial footprint and IB Vogt’s project implementation capabilities.

The 27 MW solar installation represents a significant milestone in Sangam India’s diversification strategy, enabling the company to participate in India’s growing clean energy market while continuing to strengthen its textile business.
