Sharika Enterprises Wins Rs 1.77 Crore Contract to Deploy Solar Street Lights at NTPC Talcher

Sharika Enterprises has secured a Rs1.77 crore contract from NTPC Talcher for the deployment of integrated solar street lighting systems in nearby villages in Odisha. The scope of work includes supply, installation, commissioning, and long-term operation and maintenance services.

According to the company, the project will involve the installation of advanced solar-powered lighting solutions designed to deliver dependable and energy-efficient illumination. The systems will feature high-performance photovoltaic panels, smart LED luminaires equipped with motion detection and automatic dimming functions, maintenance-free battery storage, and durable pole structures to ensure uninterrupted operation and enhanced public safety.

Commenting on the order, Rajinder Kaul, Chairman and Managing Director of Sharika Enterprises, highlighted the growing importance of solar-based infrastructure across large industrial and utility facilities. He stated that such solutions contribute significantly to energy conservation, improved safety standards, and long-term sustainability goals. Kaul added that the continued partnership with NTPC reflects the company’s commitment to delivering reliable and future-ready renewable energy solutions for the power sector.

The NTPC Talcher project adds to Sharika Enterprises’ expanding portfolio of solar infrastructure initiatives with NTPC. The company is currently engaged in similar assignments at other NTPC facilities, including Angul, Tanda, Unchahar, and NETRA, underscoring an ongoing collaboration built on execution capability and trust.

Sharika Enterprises has established a strong footprint in the renewable energy segment, with experience in solar power projects of up to 5 MW capacity. The company has also implemented more than 15,000 solar LED street lighting systems across various regions in India.
