Solidus Techno Power Brings Online 51 MWp Captive Solar Project to Supply Clean Energy in Punjab
Jan 21, 2026
Solidus Techno Power, a Punjab-based utility-scale solar developer and EPC company, has successfully commissioned a captive solar power project with a capacity of 34 MW (AC) / 51 MW (DC) in the state.
The project has been developed under the captive open access framework, with the entire electricity output dedicated to meeting the clean energy requirements of steel manufacturer Madhav KRG Group, according to the company.
Situated in Ghatiyawali village in Punjab’s Fazilka district, the solar plant evacuates power at a voltage level of 66 kV. The facility spans approximately 125 acres and has been equipped with 590 Wp N-type TOPCon photovoltaic modules featuring half-cut cell technology, along with FIMER inverters and advanced balance-of-system components. These technology selections are intended to enhance energy yield and ensure long-term operational reliability.
Solidus Techno Power stated that it executed the project on a turnkey basis, covering land acquisition, approvals from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), complete engineering, procurement, and construction activities, as well as the development of the 66 kV switchyard. The company will also undertake operations and maintenance for a period of 25 years.
With a combined development and EPC portfolio exceeding 500 MWp, Solidus Techno Power continues to expand its footprint in large-scale ground-mounted solar projects across northern India. The company has set a target to surpass a total portfolio of 1,000 MW by the end of 2026.
