TMEIC Begins Utility-Scale Solar Inverter Production in Texas

Feb 07, 2025

TMEIC Corporation Americas has officially commenced manufacturing utility-scale PV inverters at its 144,000-square-foot Westport facility in Waller County, Texas. Since production began in November 2024, the facility has exceeded expectations, producing over 300 inverters by February 5, 2025.

This milestone reinforces TMEIC’s dedication to strengthening U.S.-based manufacturing and accelerating the transition to renewable energy. In November, TMEIC hosted a grand opening ceremony, welcoming executives, partners, and local government officials. Attendees toured the facility, observed live inverter demonstrations, and learned about TMEIC’s long-term investment in renewable energy.

The facility plays a crucial role in the company’s strategy to expand its clean energy solutions and enhance its position in the global solar market.

TMEIC President and CEO Manmeet S. Bhatia emphasized the company’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for solar energy solutions in North America. With an expanded production capacity and a highly trained workforce, the Westport facility is poised to support the growth of the U.S. solar industry. Future upgrades will further enhance production capabilities and drive innovation in solar inverter technology.
