Trontek Expands Into Home Energy Storage With New Powercube Lithium-Ion Systems

Trontek has launched its first residential energy storage solutions with the introduction of the Powercube 1.4 kWh and Powercube 2.7 kWh lithium-ion systems. These units mark the company’s entry into the direct-to-home energy market, offering long-lasting and dependable backup power for households, including those equipped with solar systems.

This move reflects Trontek’s transition from an OEM-oriented battery supplier to a consumer-facing clean energy brand. The Powercube lineup is targeted at regions with strong rooftop solar adoption, increasing household energy requirements, and frequent power cuts. Both 1.4 kWh and 2.7 kWh variants come in Standard and Premium “+” models—Standard versions include a basic state-of-charge indicator, while the Premium models offer an LED display for improved status visibility.

Drawing on two decades of expertise in lithium-ion technology and advanced battery management systems, Trontek has designed the Powercube systems for both grid backup and hybrid solar applications. The company says the units offer higher efficiency, better performance, and longer life compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.

“India is entering a stage of rising self-reliance, electrification, and renewable integration,” said Samrath S. Kochar, Founder and CEO of Trontek. “With rooftop solar adoption growing and home energy needs evolving, residential storage will become increasingly essential.”

Known for supplying batteries for e-rickshaws, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and industrial uses, Trontek is now extending its capabilities to homes, small businesses, and solar-powered users. The company continues to advance its R&D efforts in materials optimization and safety.
