Vikran Engineering Secures Rs 2,035 Cr EPC Contract from Onix Renewables for 600 MW Solar Capacity

Multi-sector EPC company Vikran Engineering has announced the receipt of a Rs2,035.26 crore work order from Onix Renewables for the development of 600 MW AC solar power projects across multiple locations in Maharashtra.
The contract involves execution of the projects on a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. Vikran Engineering’s scope of work covers the complete project lifecycle, including design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning. The order also includes the supply of critical components such as solar PV modules and inverters.
According to the company, the solar projects are targeted for completion within a 12-month timeframe.
Commenting on the order win, Rakesh Markhedkar, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikran Engineering, stated that the contract represents a significant milestone for the company and underscores the growing momentum in its renewable energy EPC business.
“This order reflects strong confidence in our engineering depth, project management capabilities, and our ability to deliver large-scale solar projects with speed and quality. It meaningfully strengthens our order book and positions us for sustained growth as we continue to support India’s clean energy ambitions through reliable, timely, and sustainable infrastructure development,” he said.
The company noted that the latest contract substantially enhances its renewable energy portfolio and complements its established operations across power transmission and distribution, water infrastructure, and railway electrification.
