Oct 28, 2025

Vikran Engineering has announced the receipt of a Rs354.21 crore EPC contract from Ellume Energy MH SolarOne for developing a 100 MW AC / 120 MW DC solar power project in Maharashtra. The company confirmed that the project will be executed on a turnkey basis and is slated for completion within 12 months.

As part of the contract, Vikran Engineering will manage the complete lifecycle of the project — from design and engineering to procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning. The company emphasized that all equipment, including solar modules, inverters, and transformers, will be sourced from Tier-1 suppliers in compliance with IEC and BIS standards, ensuring long-term reliability and efficiency.

Commenting on the development, Rakesh Markhedkar, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikran Engineering, said that this achievement highlights the company’s growing expertise in large-scale clean energy projects. He added that the new order aligns with Vikran’s broader vision to strengthen its EPC presence in the renewable and sustainable infrastructure sectors.

This milestone represents an important step in Vikran Engineering’s diversification strategy beyond traditional segments like power transmission, water, and rail infrastructure. The project is expected to contribute significantly to Maharashtra’s renewable energy capacity and support India’s broader decarbonization goals, while reinforcing Vikran’s position as a trusted EPC partner for large-scale solar installations.
