Waaree Energies Becomes India’s First Solar Manufacturer to Exceed 1 GW Monthly Production

Waaree Energies has achieved a significant industry milestone by becoming the first solar module manufacturer in India to surpass 1 GW of production within a single month, recording the breakthrough in November 2025.

The company, which operates with a domestic annual manufacturing capacity of 19.7 GW, said the achievement highlights the strength of its fully automated and vertically integrated facilities. Waaree noted that its India-driven supply chain and advanced production lines—operated with strong process discipline—enabled sustained, high-precision output to cater to growing domestic and global demand.

“This is a landmark achievement for Waaree Energies and for India’s solar manufacturing landscape. Crossing 1 GW in a month showcases our technological expertise and the confidence our customers place in us,” said Sunil Rathi, Executive Director at Waaree Energies Limited. He added that the company remains committed to supporting India’s goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity.

According to Waaree, this accomplishment demonstrates India’s growing capability to scale solar manufacturing rapidly and competitively. It reflects the readiness of domestic manufacturers to meet large-scale project requirements, expand export opportunities, and contribute to a more self-reliant renewable energy ecosystem.
