Waaree Energies Brings 3.05 GW Solar Inverter Manufacturing Unit Online in Gujarat

Jan 02, 2026

Waaree Energies has expanded its manufacturing capabilities with the commissioning of a 3.05 GW solar inverter production facility in Valsad district, Gujarat. The unit has been set up through its wholly owned subsidiary, Waaree Power Pvt. Ltd., reinforcing the company’s focus on strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.

Located at Sarodhi in Valsad, the facility consists of two independent production lines, each capable of manufacturing 1.525 GW of solar inverters annually. According to a regulatory disclosure, commercial operations began on December 29, 2025.

The addition of this inverter manufacturing plant is expected to help Waaree meet the rising demand for solar power infrastructure across the country, while also supporting national efforts to reduce reliance on imports and boost local production.

The commissioning follows Waaree’s recent progress in upstream manufacturing. Earlier, the company initiated trial production at its solar cell manufacturing facility in Chikhli, Gujarat, in January 2025. Commercial output from the first 1.4 GW mono PERC line began in February 2025, and the company’s 5.4 GW integrated gigafactory was fully inaugurated and made operational on March 29, 2025.

With these developments, Waaree continues to expand its presence across the solar value chain, aligning its manufacturing strategy with India’s growing renewable energy ambitions.
