Nov 27, 2025

Websol Energy System has been included in MNRE’s ALMM List-II with 602 MW of mono-crystalline PERC bifacial solar cell capacity, raising the list’s total approved capacity to 18,481 MW across eight manufacturers.

The previous update in September 2025 saw Tata Power add 4,813 MW, while the first ALMM List-II published in July 2025 had 13,066 MW from six manufacturers, including major capacities from Adani Solar, First Solar, Emmvee, Premier Energies, ReNew Photovoltaics, and Jupiter International.

ALMM List-II for solar cells will take effect from June 1, 2026. MNRE has clarified exemptions for projects with bid deadlines on or before August 31, 2025, and for net-metering or open-access projects commissioned before the effective date. The ministry has also proposed a future ALMM List-III for solar wafers from June 1, 2028.
