Jan 03, 2026
Ahmedabad-based solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm Zodiac Energy has signed an agreement with Amanta Healthcare to develop a 10.8 MWp captive solar power project in Gujarat to meet the pharmaceutical company’s internal electricity requirements.
Under the agreement, Zodiac Energy will install the solar facility at Baroda village in Kheda district, with the generated power earmarked exclusively for captive consumption. The project is intended to support Amanta Healthcare’s efforts to lower energy costs and increase the share of renewables in its power mix.
In a regulatory filing, the company stated that the scope of work includes the design and installation of the entire 10.8 MWp solar power system at the designated site.
Zodiac Energy, originally incorporated as Zodiac Genset Pvt. Ltd. in 1992, rebranded as Zodiac Energy Pvt. Ltd. in 2007 and transitioned into a public limited company in 2017. Over the years, the company has executed solar projects for a wide range of prominent clients, including SunEdison India, Adani Group, Torrent Power, Gujarat Energy Development Agency, the Reserve Bank of India, the Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, and Indian Oil Corporation.
According to the company, Zodiac Energy has served more than 15,000 customers and has built a solar project portfolio exceeding 300 MW across various segments.
